HOW IT WORKS
Here's the basic structure of how things work when you sign up for one of our sessions. If you have questions, please contact us. For more information about our current sessions, go to Session Info.
SUPPLIES NEEDED
-
Device to play Minecraft
o Console (Xbox, PS, Switch)
o PC/Mac
o Tablet/iPad -
Minecraft with a Minecraft account (Note: Xbox live is not necessary to join this server, but they must have a Minecraft/Microsoft account) - Note: We use the regular version of Minecraft, NOT the Education Version
-
A device (with camera) to access Zoom
-
Zoom will be our method of connection with each other while we play.
-
Headphones and microphone (A headset/microphone combo, such as you would find in a gaming headset, would be ideal)
SESSIONS AND MEETINGS
Sessions – Basic Information
-
Session length may vary, but each session consists of meeting once a week at the same time
-
After each session, families will have the option to continue or they can cycle out. At that point, we would notify families on the wait list of the next available opening.
-
The goal of these sessions is not to necessarily teach a particular skill (coding, etc.) although that may come up along the way. The goal is to provide a safe, secure online experience with the opportunity to learn and practice life skills. As part of this process, upskilling and students growing in their craft will be important, but the approach we take to that will be more organic in nature.

Meetings – Basic Information
-
Each meeting in the session is 2 hours long and meets once a week at the same time.
-
Servers are limited to 10-12 people to ensure the best possible experience for each student.
-
All in the same age range
-
The servers will be setup to accommodate both Bedrock and Java in the same area (some features may be limited, but nothing to hinder the experience)
-
